Carrera de los Muertos San Diego

Coming November 4, 2018. Celebrate life on the Day of the Dead! The Day of the Dead is actually a multi-day Mexican holiday that focuses on commemorating friends and family members who have died by building altars and ofrendas (offerings) with favorite items and significant possessions of those loved one’s now passed. The Carrera de los Muertos (Run of the Dead) San Diego embraces this holiday in a colorful, festive 5K and 10K race through downtown San Diego in sunny southern California. The routes are relatively flat and scenic along the waterfront. There will be face painters available race morning to get you in the mood, mariachi bands, a Runners Altar to honor loved ones that have passed, and post-race celebrations with more music, food, dancers and entertainment. As they say, “Nos vemos en la Carrera de los Muertos!”.
