Fall Foliage Adventure Race

Coming October 14, 2023. A fun way to be outdoors, be active, and view beautiful fall colors…it’s the Fall Foliage Adventure Race held around Fredericksburg, Virginia! This is a sort of outdoor scavenger hunt, orienteering to marked checkpoints via multiple modes of travel. Using a map and compass, solo participants or team attempt to visit as many checkpoints as possible in the allotted time period – choose either a 4-hour race or a 15-hour race. The 4-hour race includes more than 5 miles of paddling in a canoe or kayak plus more than 4.5 miles on foot. The 15-hour race takes you from sun up to midnight with more than 15 miles of paddling, more than 16 miles on foot, and more than 20 miles on a mountain bike, plus optional rock climbing.
