ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Utö

Coming May 21, 2022. One of the most prestigeous endurance races in the world. It’s the ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Utö. This is where it all began back in 2002 as a late night bet between friends on the island of Utö, an island in the southern part of the Stockholm archipelago almost 90 minutes from Stockholm, The race entails a total race distance of 8,000 meters comprised of 7 run sections and 6 swim sections. Though the sections are relatively short, they are challenging – steep inclines, rocky shorelines, narrow trails through the woods, calm waters between islands, then open waters where you’re exposed to the elements, plus not to mention, running in wetsuits and swimming in running shoes. Choose to compete alone or as a team of two. The original swimrun race is back…ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Utö.
