Salute to Veterans Run/Walk

Coming November 12, 2022. Today is Veteran’s Day so let’s take the time to honor our brave men and women who have served, and this weekend there’s an opportunity to do that at the Salute to Veterans Run/Walk in Jacksonville. Going on 11 years, it’s the longest running Veterans Day 5K race in this Florida city,  and it’s followed by a fun Patriotic Paws Parade where you can run or walk with your furry family member with prizes for the best dressed four-legged friend. The race starts out by paying tribute to all branches of service by displaying the service flag and playing the service song allowing military service-members and veterans to sing along.Then it’s off to the streets of scenic downtown Jacksonville. Post-race celebrations are held onboard the USS Orleck, a historic World War II built destroyer. Show your patriotic spirit and gratitude on Saturday at the Salute to Veterans Run/Walk.
