Foot Levelers Blue Ridge Marathon

Coming April 18, 2020. Known as America’s Toughest Road Marathon, the Foot Levelers Blue Ridge Marathon definitely lives up to its name. Expect a total elevation gain/loss of close to 7,500 feet – the most elevation change of any road race in the United States. The race begins and ends in downtown Roanoke, Virginia and takes runners through the Blue Ridge Parkway, a very picturesque course that almost takes your mind off of all the steep ascents and deep descents. The marathon is limited to 750 runners, but there’s also a half marathon course as well as a 10K and a family-friendly one miler. Rewards galore await at the finish line festival with live music, food trucks, local craft beers, free massages, local artists and vendors, awards ceremonies for top finisher, and swag for all.
