Sierra Mountain Center Women’s Whitney Climb

Coming August 4, 2019. Conquer the highest peak in the continental United States. Join Sierra Mountain Center for their Women’s Whitney Climb to take on the 14,495 feet Mount Whitney. Located on the boundary of Sequoia National Park and Inyo National Forest in east central California, Mount Whitney is the most frequently climbed mountain peak in the Sierra Nevada. This 7 day, 6 night, mule-supported trip is aimed at intermediate level backpackers and is moderately difficult. With a ratio of one guide to 5 hikers, you’ll take the route from Cottonwood which is slightly longer than the popular route from Whitney Portal, but it has beautiful high alpine lakes and panoramic views and fewer people.
