Coming October 27-28, 2018. What Halloween wouldn’t be complete without a cemetery tour! Join the Spirited Stroll at Green-Wood Cemetery, a 478 acre, National Historic Landmark located in Brooklyn, New York. The 2.5 hour walking tour lead by author and Green-Wood Cemetery historian, Jeff Richman, covers stories of some of the more than 560,000 “permanent residents”, including John Greenwood, George Washington’s dentist; notable American composer and conductor, Leonard Bernstein; Henry Bergh, founder of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA); and Frank Morgan Wupperman, the actor who played the wizard in The Wizard of Oz. There’s also a visit to the Catacombs, which are usually closed to the public. Explore this 180 year old cemetery with the Spirited Stroll at Green-Wood Cemetery!
