Earth Day 2018

Coming April 22, 2018. Every day should be Earth Day, but officially it’s this Sunday. Join this global event involving more than 1 billion people in nearly 195 countries to show your support for environmental protection. The focus of this year’s Earth Day is to end plastic pollution. Experts predict that if our consumption of plastic products continues, by 2050, the oceans will contain more plastic than fish by weight. A very sobering prediction. Let’s change this by organizing an event, participate in a local clean up effort, or simply take steps in your daily life like taking a reusable bag on your next trip to the supermarket or use a refillable water bottle instead of a single use plastic container. Do your part by reducing your plastic consumption and embrace Earth Day!
