Flaming Leaves Festival

Coming October 8, 2016. Fall foliage and ski jumping. It must be Lake Placid, site of the Olympic Winter Games – once in 1932 and again in 1980 – and one of the best places to view the fall colors right now! Yes, this weekend is the annual Flaming Leaves Festival which features a thrilling competition between the top ski jumpers in North America. Expect quite a show with these talented ski jumpers flying the length of a football field! This two-day festival also includes live entertainment, lawn games, and local specialty craft vendors. Plus the chairlift and glassed-in elevator leading to the top of the 120-meter jump.will be running to allow aerial viewing of the gorgeous colors of the Adirondack High Peaks and those daring athletes.
