Coming February 13, 2016. As if an ultra race is not challenging enough, how about adding arctic conditions to the mix? It’s the Ice Ultra held in Arctic Sweden. This is a self-sufficient race through 230 km of snow fields, ice forests, mountains, and frozen lakes in temperatures as cold as -30°C. Starting at the Kungsleden Trail, created at the end of the 19th century, in order to allow more people to experience the beauty of Lapland, you’ll then travel into a UNESCO World Heritage site so remote that snow mobiles are not allowed to enter. Over the course of 5 days, expect to stay in remote cabins or traditional tipi tents. An extreme race for the ultra athlete!
