Coming October 30, 2014. “Throw me somethin’ monster!” is what you’re supposed to yell during the Krewe of BOO! Similar to the famous Mardi Gras Parade, the Krewe of BOO! celebrates Halloween with elaborately decorated floats, marching bands, costumed revelers, and locally made “throws” like Aunt Sally’s Pralinettes, Handmade Candy Corn necklaces, Voodoo Doll pins and magnets, Elmer’s Chee Wees, and PJs Coffee Packs. The parade travels through the French Quarter and eventually ends at Mardi Gras World where there’s a huge party with several bands and festivities galore. For a fee, you can be IN the parade by signing up for a membership that includes a spot on a float, catered lunch, and a VIP pass to the afterparty. Certainly a spectacle worth attending in The Big Easy, known for it’s fun party atmosphere!
