With 6 days of horseback riding on Icelandic horses, sure-footed, small horses with an ambling gait known as the tölt, you’ll travel through a wide range of beautiful scenery from lush meadows to lava fields to snow-capped mountains and glaciers. You’ll be immersed in Icelandic culture with lodging in traditional Icelandic farms/guesthouses and feasts of hearty Icelandic food. Another highlight will be a visit to Snæfellsjökull, the mythical glacier-covered cone volcano famous from Jules Vern’s Journey to the Center of the Earth.
