Belgian Waffle Ride North Carolina

Coming June 11, 2022. The most unique cycling event in the country. It’s the Belgian Waffle Ride (BWR) North Carolina, an extremely tough 131.7 mile cycling race through the North Carolina portion of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Pros and amateurs alike train for this “Hell of the North Carolina” with 11K feet of climbing with the steepest grade of 23%, 50 miles of off-road sectors, water crossings, and 10 categorized climbs over pavement, gravel, dirt and trail. For those looking for a little less of a challenge, there’s the Wafer at 71 miles, 6,100 feet of climbing and 32 miles of off-road or the Wanna at 37.5 miles, 3,500 feet of climbing, and 9 miles of off-road. Expect loads of waffles (big Belgian waffles, of course!) before and after the race to help fuel and reward you for a race well done. Part road race, part gravel race and part mountain bike race, the Belgian Waffle Ride North Carolina has it all (and waffles, too!)!
