Coming June 16, 2019. A marathon that commemorates the sacrifices of the servicemen who bravely fought in the 1944 Allied invasion of occupied France. The D-Day Landings Marathon is a 42.195 km race that starts at the Courseulles sur Mer and finishes at the Memorial of Caen and takes place as part of the 75th anniversary of D-Day and the battle of Normandy. The scenic, relatively flat course takes runners along the famous beaches and battle sites of the Normandy Landings including Juno and Sword Beaches, the Casino d’Ouistreham, and the Pegasus Bridge. Post race, expect cold sponges, changing rooms, showers, a buffet of local foods, recovery massages, musical entertainment, a New Balance technical t-shirt, and a medal. Run the D-Day Landings Marathon for a race in a historic and moving location.
