Starlight Snowshoe Tour

Coming February 15, 2018. Happy Valentine’s Day! We found a unique tour taking place tomorrow night. It only happens once every 20 years…a black moon. Don’t worry, it’s not anything sinister. This year, it means that there will not be a full moon at all this month, but there were 2 full moons in January, and there will be 2 full moons next month. So expect the night sky to be especially vibrant with stars, and the folks at Wanderlust Tours are offering a Starlight Snowshoe Tour on this special night. Meet at their office in Bend, Oregon and enjoy a guided tour through the quiet forests of the Cascades while learning about the constellations. They provide the experienced naturalist guide, snowshoes, headlamps, and even hot cocoa to warm you up!
