Earth Day 2017

April 21, 2017

Currently available: Varies  Visit their site to learn more

Coming April 22, 2017. Tomorrow is Earth Day, so it’s time to give a shout out to this year’s theme of Environmental and Climate Literacy. It’s our responsibility to learn about climate change and what we can do to support environmental and climate laws and policies, promote green technologies and recycling, and ways to be more environmentally friendly in our everyday lives. One of the biggest planned events is the March for Science on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., which will include speeches with scientists and civic organizers, musical performances and a march through the streets of the city. There are lots of events going throughout the world so check out your local paper or the Earth Day Network website to find out about trail clean ups, festivals, tree plantings, lectures, workshops, electric car demonstrations, and more.
