Coming November 14, 2016. Here’s the best getaway for today (actually, tonight)…and it’s free! Just step outside and look up into the night sky and see the biggest supermoon since 1948. What exactly is a supermoon? Here’s a very simple explanation from NASA: “The moon’s orbit around Earth is slightly elliptical so sometimes it is closer and sometimes it’s farther away. When the moon is full as it makes its closest pass to Earth it is known as a supermoon.” So on average, there are 4-6 supermoons each year but tonight’s supermoon is significant because the full moon won’t come this close to Earth again until November 25, 2034. For a super-sized, pie-in-the-sky getaway, check out the supermoon tonight!
