Coming December 28, 2016. Have you tried mixed climbing yet? Now is your chance with the Chicks with Picks Mixed Climbing clinic! Mixed climbing is a combination of ice climbing and rock climbing using crampons and ice axes to ascend rock ice or snow. This 3-day clinic with 4-nights lodging is held just outside of that outdoor mecca of Ouray, Colorado, known as the Switzerland of America. In a supportive and encouraging environment, you’ll learn the basics of mixed climbing like tool placements, body positioning, and footwork. Demo climbing gear and clothing will be provided so just show up with your sense of adventure and get ready to have some fun!
