Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10-Mile Run

Coming April 3, 2016. The cherry blossoms are in bloom which means it’s time for the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10-Mile Run. Held every year during the Cherry Blossom Festival in the Nation’s Capital, lucky runners are determined by a lottery system for this popular race. Besides taking you past the blooming cherry blossoms, the course covers many of the landmarks in Washington, D.C. including the Jefferson Memorial, the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, the Washington Monument, Arlington National Cemetery, the Lincoln Memorial, the Watergate complex, Rock Creek Park, and the Tidal Basin. Known as “the Runner’s Rite of Spring”, this race also raises money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
