Coming March 20, 2015. Looking for an event that’s out of the ordinary? How about a solar eclipse? To be more specific, check out a TOTAL solar eclipse from the Faroe Islands, an island group about halfway between Iceland and Norway. Apparently, total solar eclipses occur once every one to two years but are only visible from less than half a percent of the Earth’s surface, and this year, lucky visitors to the Faroe Islands will be able to see one. The total solar eclipse will last about 3 minutes, but the rest of the day will be filled with a wide variety of cultural- and musical events, tours, activities and Faroese foods. Grab your solar filters and head to the “unspoiled, unexplored, unbelievable Faroe Islands”.
