Coming November 1, 2014. A challenging trail run on the largest island in California. The C.R.F.C. Santa Cruz Island 23K Eco-Extreme Trail Race is a demanding but scenic race held on one of the Channel Islands, off the coast of southern California. After a 1-1.5 hour boat ride, the course starts at sea level at Scorpion Harbor, has a total altitude gain of 3,297 feet and a total altitude loss of 3,024 feet, and finishes at Prisoners Cove. There will be 4 aid stations with water, as well as a party with a catered lunch, beer, and wine at the finish line. This is a non-profit event benefiting local charities in a beautiful setting.
