Kilimanjaro Marathon

Coming March 1, 2015. An amazing marathon in the shadows of the highest free-standing mountain in the world. This is the 13th annual Kilimanjaro Marathon held in Moshi, Tanzania. Kili (to those in the know) dominates the landscape at 5,895 metres, but not to worry, you won’t be climbing this mountain during the marathon. With the heat and altitude, this is a challenging race, but the first half of the marathon will be relatively flat, then between 20 and 30 km, expect a steady climb, and a refreshing downhill race for the last 10 km. Throughout the course, the inspiring views of Kili will keep you distracted!
