2014 World Championships of Land and Sand Yachting

Coming July 12, 2014. Sailing on land?! Yes! Check out the World Championships of Land and Sand Yachting this summer near Austin, Nevada. Come watch sailors representing 15 countries and 4 continents compete in various races over the course of a week on a windy, 6,000 foot high playa (dry lake). These fearless racers can reach speeds of up to 5 times the wind speed in light, steady winds with a record speed of 126.2 mph, set in March 2009!
