February 28, 2014

Currently available: $299  Visit their site to learn more

Various dates and locations in 2014. If you love the outdoors and love to volunteer, then you need to check out the projects that Wilderness Volunteers has to offer. This is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making a difference in our National Parks, Seashores, Forests, and other wilderness areas throughout the United States. Projects are designed for physically fit people and range in difficulty from active (long day hikes often on uneven ground) to challenging (significant elevation changes and backcountry camping). You’ll need to bring along your own camping gear, but they’ll provide the tools required and all food for the week. Limited to 12 participants, choose from projects like general trail maintenance in the Colorado National Monument or creating new sections of the Continental Divide Trail in the Gila National Forest. A great way to give back!
