Coming March 21, 2014. You may have seen those amazing Olympic athletes in the biathlon event – cross country skiing and precision target shooting. Wow! Well, you too can give this sport a try at the Mammoth Winter Biathlon. If you are a beginner, you’ll shoot one bout prone and one bout standing and ski a total of 3K over 3 laps. A penalty loop of 75 meters is assessed for missed shots. There are also Masters (4.5K) and Elite (7.5K) level events. To complete the Olympic experience, count on gold, silver, and bronze medals in each of the race categories!
