Athleta Iron Girl Triathlon – Lake Las Vegas

Coming May 6, 2012. Iron Man? Never heard of it. Iron Girl… yep that’s the one. Leave the hubby at the nickel slots and head out to Lake Las Vegas, Nevada for the Athleta Iron Girl Triathlon. It’s an 800meter swim followed by a 22.5K bike ride followed by a 5K run. To give you an idea of how long that would take, the cutoff time for the swim is 45 minutes, for the bike ride is 2 hours and for the run is 60 minutes. So you’ll probably be all done in less than 4 hours and ready to hit the craps tables, and with the discount air travel to Las Vegas these days, that could be very doable. And most importantly, don’t forget that you can load up on all the carbs you can eat at the buffet table the night before.
