Bay Area Super Prestige Series Cyclocross

Coming in Oct-Dec, 2012. Ready for something completely different? Cyclo-cross (aka cyclocross, CX, CCX, cyclo-X and cross) is a new form of bike racing that consists of laps on a short course (1.5 to 2 miles) over a variety of surfaces (e.g. pavement, wooded trails, grass, steep hills) as well as obstacles, requiring the rider to quickly dismount and remount while traversing the obstacles throughout the race. It’s like a steeplechase on bikes. And if you’re interested, the Bay Area Super Prestige Series Cyclocross is the next big series of races in and around San Francisco, and this will give you the opportunity to get on-board with this exciting new sport.
