Mt. Gaoligong Ultra

Coming November 18, 2016. A 100+ mile journey through time and history. This is the inaugural year for the Mt. Gaoligong Ultra, a 104-mile trail ultra marathon over a grueling 36 hour period. Starting at the “Yin and Yang Gates,”, racers travel over marked trails around Mt. Gaoligong, the last mountain through the southern ancient silk road from southwestern China and northern Myanmar (Burma). This fully supported race will feature well over 24,000 feet of cumulative elevation gain and a corresponding loss of more than 24,000 feet. A challenging race in an exotic locale.
