Sigge’s P’ayakentsut Cross Country Ski Event, Whistler Olympic Park

Coming Feb 23, 2013. The largest cross-country event in all of BC is Sigge’s P’ayakentsut Cross Country Ski Event at the Whistler Olympic Park. The race is open to women (and yes men too) using your choice of technique, so you can skate or ski in the classic style on the 15K, 30K and 50K courses. And for anyone who hasn’t experienced x-country skiing in Whistler yet, the routes are gorgeous with challenging climbs and rewarding descents. By the way, for those unfamiliar with these names, Sigge’s is one of BC’s leading suppliers of cross-country ski gear, and the term P’ayakentsut comes to us from the local Squamish people, and it means a place to train oneself physically.
