Coming May 28, 2018. Monday is Memorial Day, a time to remember the people who died while serving in the our country’s armed forces. And what better way to honor this special day than to participate in the Race to Remember in Vancouver, Washington. The race is sponsored by a local nonprofit of the same name that works to ensure “our communities Never Forget the sacrifice that our brave men and women of the military made to protect our Freedom”. The start/finish of the race is at the Memorial Wall, followed by an Honor Mile, where the route is lined with American flags and pictures of military fallen heroes. The rest of the timed race is an out and back course along the Columbia River Trail. Choose from half marathon, 10K and 5K distances.
