Cape Town Cycle Tour

Coming March 12, 2017. Participate in the largest, timed cycling event in the world. It’s the Cape Town Cycle Tour which will celebrate its 40th year with 35,000 cyclists! Started in 1978 with only 525 riders, the goal was to raise awareness about cycling safety and to lobby for bike paths in Cape Town. It has grown immensely and attracts both amateurs and professional riders from around the world. The route covers 109 km looping down the Cape Peninsula and back with two thirds of the route running through South Africa’s iconic Table Mountain National Park. An international cycling race worthy of your bucket list!
