Escape from Alcatraz? And, they said it couldn’t be done. The 33rd Alcatraz Escape Duathlon organized by our friends at Enviro-Sports starts with a 1.5 mile swim from the Rock to Aquatic Park in San Francisco, and then follows with a 7 mile run to Fort Point, underneath the Golden Gate Bridge, and back. Even with water temperatures in the 60-62° F range, this is a super popular race and is limited to 400 participants, so don’t wait to sign-up for your escape.
