Using a process known as roto-molding or rotational molding, the cooler is designed with thick walls and a lid that are pressure-injected with a commercial-grade polyurethane foam. Roto-molding results in a structure that is super strong with consistent thickness all around, and when combined with the insulation and tight lid seal, you get up to a whopping five days of coldness. For those camping trips in the wild, the bear-resistant certification from the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee (IGBC) is very welcome and the sturdy latches are easy to use and durable. There’s fast drainage through the threaded drain plug which is garden hose compatible – so smart for cleaning out the cooler! A fish ruler is another useful feature, as are the rubber, hand-friendly grips. Useful accessories are available like a removable divider that slides in the middle of the cooler, creating 2 separate compartments, one to hold your food and one to hold your fish.
