Skagit Valley Tulip Festival

March 20, 2017

Currently available: Varies  Visit their site to learn more

Coming April 2017. Happy first day of Spring! Celebrate Spring with the beauty of millions of colorful flowers at the Tulip Festival in Washington’s Skagit Valley. This area, just about an hour north of Seattle, is awash with blooms in April (though some of the daffodils are starting to peak out right now). The local tulip growers showcased their bulbs throughout the month with gorgeous displays and fields of vibrantly colored blossoms, and it’s easy to see why more tulip, iris, and daffodil bulbs are produced here than in any other county in the United States. The Tulip Festival is designed as a driving tour with fields centrally located in the valley between La Conner and Mount Vernon. Park your car in one of the designated areas then walk among the fields for some excellent photo opportunities, or better yet, take your bike and ride along the flat roads to explore and avoid the traffic hassle. Be sure to check out their website to see the best time to visit during the month of April.
