Coming Nov 20-25, 2013. Start planning now because this event will sell out. The Antarctic Ice Marathon is the only marathon run in the interior of the Antarctic. Fly by private jet from Punta Arenas, Chile, for this 5-day adventure that will include all your meals and accommodations in Antarctica and transportation to the marathon location at Union Glacier. A marked course of 42.2K (26.2 miles) will already have been prepared and snowmobile support, aid stations and medical personnel will be on hand for the duration of the race. Oh, and if that’s not enough for you, there’s plans for a 100K as well.
