Trekking The National Parks Game

Vicariously travel to our National Parks from the comfort of your home! Designed by an artist and game developer with a lifetime love of travel and the National Parks, Trekking The National Parks Game is a best-selling game and winner of a Mensa Award and a Parent’s Choice Award. The goal is to move around the board visiting 62 protected areas called National Parks, claiming park cards and collecting stones. Note that at the time the game was developed, there were 62 parks; a 63rd park, the New River Gorge in West Virginia was just added in 2021. The park cards have beautiful photos and interesting facts, such as Voyageurs in Minnesota is the only place in the continental United States where you can look south into Canada! A helpful video explains the rules of play which are fairly straightforward, but the many different strategies that you can take make this a fun and challenging game. Though the game notes a 30-60 minute play time, we found that with 4 people, it turned into a much longer game (closer to 90 minutes of fun!). Trekking The National Parks Game is an entertaining and educational addition to game night.
