The most recent collaboration between Renovo, the Portland company that pioneered the concept of building engineered hollow hardwood bicycle frames, and Glenmorangie, creators of the award winning Highland Single Malt Scotch Whiskies, is a beautifully crafted bike call the Glenmorangie Original. Yes, you guessed it, the frame of this bike is made from those very same casks that Glenmorangie’s signature single malt, The Original, are matured in. The casks are made from the highest-quality American oak and are only used twice, so repurposing them gives new life to them. The bikes are individually numbered and weigh about 18 pounds. You can also choose your component options on these special, built-to-order, “beyond the cask” bikes.
