The world’s longest networks of multi-use recreational trails. It’s the Trans Canada Trail (TCT), and with over 18,000 kilometers of the trails completed to date, the goal is to finish the Trail by 2017, the 25th anniversary of the Trail and Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation. The route will cover nearly 24,000 kilometers from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean to the Arctic Ocean. The TCT is a community-based project, with trail sections owned, operated and maintained by local organizations, provincial authorities, national agencies and municipalities across Canada. The Trail offers opportunities to hike, cycle, ski, horseback ride, canoe and snowmobile through every province and territory within Canada. Discover the beauty of Canada on the Trans Canada Trail.
