Vamos caminhar! (Let’s walk, in Portuguese) The Rota Vicentina is a long distance path that travels along the southwest coast of Portugal. A total of 350 km, the route is comprised of the Fisherman’s Trail which covers trails used by locals to get to beaches and coveted fishing spots and the Historical Way that runs through small towns and villages along country trails. It is well marked and is one of the best ways to explore the stunning coastal vistas, bucolic countryside, quaint villages, and isolated beaches of Portugal.
