Absolutely gorgeous! The Rock Islands Southern Lagoon, a recent inscription to UNESCO’s World Heritage List, is a collection of 445 mostly uninhabited limestone islands in Palau (~800 miles south west of Guam). Beautiful turquoise lagoons are surrounded by coral reef making this the perfect location for snorkeling and scuba diving. The unique umbrella or mushroom shaped islands have white sand beaches and the highest concentration of marine lakes anywhere, isolated bodies of seawater separated from the ocean by land barriers. If you really want to get away from it all, visit the Rock Islands.
