Coming May 18 to Aug 8, 2013. Ready for something epic in your life? How about a cross-country bike tour? The TransAm Van-Supported Tour by Adventure Cycling Association starts in Williamsburg, VA and ends 83 days later in Florence, OR. Yes, there will be some rest days, so you’re “only” cycling for 72 of those 83 days, but you’ll be traveling a distance of 4,325 total miles (an average of 60.1 miles per day). Yes, this is for advanced cyclists, and be prepared to camp sometimes along the way, but it will certainly be a once-in-a-lifetime experience you’ll tell your grand-kids about.
