As a collective effort involving 14 states and the District of Columbia, the more than 100 stops include museums like the acclaimed National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C. and the recently opened Mississippi Civil Rights Museum in Jackson; the birth home of Martin Luther King Jr. in Atlanta, Georgia; the Brown v. Board of Education National Historic Site in Topeka, Kansas; and the Selma to Montgomery National Historic Trail, to name just a few. Described as an “immersive and educational travel experience”, the U.S. Civil Rights Trail shares a meaningful piece of American history.
