America’s LARGEST cross-country ski area. The Methow Valley Sports Trails Association (MVSTA) maintains a Nordic trail system of more than 200 kilometers in north-central Washington. Trails are groomed and ungroomed and travel through beautiful national wilderness and forest lands and even a suspension bridge crossing the Methow River. During the winter, besides cross-country skiing, you’ll finding snowshoe areas, certain trails that allow you to bring your dog, and a relatively new sport, called fat bike. Fat bikes are special bikes with extra wide tires that allow riding on slippery surfaces like snow. Another fun winter sport for all TrailblazerGirls!
