Over the years, our friends at rabbit have brought us so many well-designed products – think about the Strappy Pocket Bra and the Dream Chaser running shoes coincidentally, in the picture above. Now, their newest, the High Country Pants, are no exception. True to their vision of founding a running specialty apparel brand that is original, different, and better, these trekking pants seem to be custom-made for us active TrailblazerGirls. With just the right fit, not too baggy and not too tight, and 4 way stretch, they are geared for long treks up the mountain, over the boulders, and scrambling across streams. The fabric is lightweight and quick-drying, with a water repellent finish, making them ideal for our damp, Pacific Northwest weather, when at some point during the day, you’ll be hit with a sudden drizzle! They have smartly included strategically placed pinhole perforations at the small of your back and top of the hip for welcome aeration when you start to heat up. And let’s talk about the pockets…there are seven, yes seven!, handy pockets to carry everything you need – phone, lip balm, protein bar, tissues, etc. Three are zippered and 2 have a snap on them so they are secure for important things like your keys and ID. Other compelling design features are a comfortable, elastic waistband with an internal drawstring, elastic cuffs to prevent creepy crawlies from riding with you, and even cute plaid details in some of the pockets.
