This super lightweight shoe (only 8.3 ounces!) is designed for speed hiking and was engineered and tested in the Dolomites, a renowned climbing and mountaineering range in the northern Italian Alps. A highly breathable knitted mesh upper is appreciated when temperatures rise, yet SALEWA’s Kevlar®-corded 3F System enhances support, flexibility, and stability, and a TPU film around the entire base of the shoe provides additional protection from rocks, roots, and other barriers you may encounter. We found the Pedroc Air to be comfortable right out of the box, in part due to the Multi Fit Footbed, an insert that customizes and adjusts the shoe to fit our foot shape. Expect to be very surefooted on the trails thanks to a grippy outsole that provides excellent traction on rocks, gravel, mud, and loose dirt.
