It’s a robot lifeguard? Okay, admittedly not an everyday purchase, but we just couldn’t ignore sharing these Emily Boats with you. Each 4-ft long remote controlled buoy can cruise through rip-currents and swift water at speeds up to 22 mph to reach a distressed swimmer faster than any human lifeguard could every swim. The swimmer then crawls on, and you use the remote controls to bring her home. Someday, these will probably be standard issue at surfing and open-water swimming events. Take that Roomba.
