Sierra Summits

Explore the Range of Light with Matt Johanson in his recently released, Sierra Summits. The book divides California’s Sierra Nevada mountain range into five geographic sections: Lake Tahoe, Central Sierra, Yosemite National Park, Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks, and Eastern Sierra. The 50 hikes are outlined with photos, a stat summary (distance, time, difficulty, permits, etc.), details on finding the trailhead with GPS coordinates, a blow by blow of the miles and directions of the route, and a short history of the trail and area with a “Sierra Secret”, a little tidbit of info to pique your interest in the peak (hee-hee, see what we did here!). Sierra Summits is an informative, clearly written book that will have you itching to get your hiking boots on and head to the Sierra Nevada mountain range!
