A little weight is a good thing…especially if it’s the weighted sleep mask from our friends at nodpod! You may have heard about weighted blankets, and the benefits that they can provide by relieving stress and improving sleep by relaxing the central nervous system through Deep Touch Pressure Stimulation. Nodpod takes those same benefits and implements them in a strap-free eye mask. There are 4 “pods” equally filled with scent-free microbeads that softly distribute the 9 ounces of weight across your eyes. The mask is long enough to rest on its own or if you want a tighter fit, you can thread one side through a button hole slit to keep it in place (this also works if you’re wearing it while upright, like on an airplane). One side is a soft fleece material which is nice at this time of year when it’s cold and the other side is a soft jersey cotton that will be good during the summer months. It’s machine washable and can be put in the refrigerator or freezer for extra cooling power. We found it to be like a soft, hug across our eyes that blocked all light and kept us from moving too much during the night, thus having a full night of undisturbed sleep. Yippee!
