From its humble beginnings as a small bakery in a natural foods market on Main Street (see where the name comes from!), only quality, gluten free, non-GMO ingredients are used in all their products. Additionally, no refined sugars are used – only natural, low glycemic index sweeteners like agave, honey, evaporated cane juice, and rice syrup are added to give a touch of sweetness, the healthy way. We tried samples from some of their tasty cereals. First, there’s Organic Happy Granola which contains a mixture of gluten free, organic oats and sprouted ancient grains that provides you a whopping 18g of whole grains per serving, such a good source of fiber and sustained energy to start the day! It’s available in 3 flavors: Sprouted Blueberry Flax, Sprouted Grains and Honey, and Sprouted Maple Quinoa. Second, there’s Bunches of Crunches, described as a Superfood Granola, which is filled with nutrient-dense chia seeds, amaranth, millet, almonds and more. It comes in Coconut Cacao and Dark Chocolate Sea Salt. Both are sure to placate your chocolate cravings and are delicious right out of the bag as a snack on the trails. Third, is their Gluten-Free Granola, which is the most unique of the lot. It’s not granola in the typical sense as it has multigrain and bean crisps that we would describe as little discs of deliciousness. The crisps are made with corn, brown rice, ancient grains and navy beans and hold their crunchy crispness even when soaked in almond milk. Yes, we wholeheartedly agree that Bakery on Main provides us with Gluten Free Happiness!
