Water World Swim: Island to Island Swim

Coming May 5, 2012. In addition to being one leg of most triathlons, open water swimming is its own sport which takes place in some of the most beautiful venues, and Water World Swim is sponsoring one of the most spectacular swims: from Alcatraz Island to Angel Island in the San Francisco Bay. This is a 3.5K swim, and really it’s for advanced swimmers, so this is not a good one to start with if you’re new to open water. And remember that The Bay is cold, but imagine seeing the islands, the bridges and the cityscapes all around you. It’s a truly unique experience.
